When it comes to investing and personal finance management, is there really something peculiar to women? We weighed this and came to the firm conclusion that, apart from the general issues dealt with in other sections of this site, there are unique aspects of investing to address to women. Think, for instance, of the significant budget that goes into household maintenance. Much of what happens there could be substantially influenced from the woman's angle. Think, too, of the many women that labour hard to raise their children but may loose the opportunity, if not guided, to find ways to build some financial muscle which everybody needs. Or women who earn income but may, under the weight of the challenges of motherhood, burn off all their earnings unless they learn some personal finance management strategies that address their unique challenges. What about the great opportunity to bring up the children with early investment knowledge, if the woman understands mother understands the need and what to do. What about the young woman that has to consider investment issues that relate to her assets before marriage?
